Friday night, bachelor party in Waco

I am so happy, I've managed to fool with the site so that it looks decent in Explorer. Now if anyone has any CSS tips for Opera, I am waiting to hear them. I'm also looking to take a Java class or something, so if anyone knows of any in the area, let me know

So, I had quite the busy weekend, starting with a bachelor party in Waco, of all places, on Friday night. I was really surprised that these guys couldn't find a dancer from Dallas, which is marginally closer, but not surprised at all that they wanted to avoid the clubs there. Not necessarily because of the talent quality, but I bet Waco is the kind of town where people talk about that sort of thing.
Ezra, my sister's boyfriend, is usually my escort for these things - he just kind of blends into the background, hands me my props, and drives me to and from, and I like using him a lot more than a bouncer from the club, which can be a more intrusive presence. Besides, if I ever actually felt as if I would need the security, I probably wouldn't do the party. I have had bouncers from the club offer to chaperone me, telling me that they can carry a gun, which just completely puts me off. Do I look like I'd perform somewhere where a gun was needed for security? Hell, fuck no, and while I'm no anti-hunting activist (mmm, white-winged doves . . . ) the idea of that kind of volatile presence at a place where I'm supposed to be relaxed and entertaining seems like a bad idea. So, Ezra's good because it's like I don't have a bouncer, but I do, you know? Plus, when I pay him I know my sister gets to go to a nice dinner or something :).

This party had been put together by the groom's boss, as his best man was his grandfather, a 70-something fella that I imagine wasn't too clued in as how to hire a hootchie-cootchie gal for the bash. They had it at one of their homes, and had pulled the furniture out from the living room. This was my first test-run of my new stage (more on that later) and I did learn that carpet did not help with the stability issues. My engineers are working on that right now.

The party went pretty well, though one of the guests kept trying to bite me, which was irritating. See, there's a time and a place for that, but even in the heat of the moment, I absolutely hate getting bitten, due to someone who was much too enthusiastic about that with me years ago leaving me with nipples that were sore for days. I had to ignore his proffered tips in fear that I'd wind up with a nasty little mark on my tummy. Now, the quiet guy that sat in the chair furthest back, he got the best dance of them all. What can I say? Passivity turns me on ;).

There was also a crazy, 50something beatnik there wearing a Kangol beret and generally being obnoxious and I think I saw him at BookPeople today! Would have been funny. The host kept trying to get the graddad to let me dance for him, but he kept saying, "Aw, that's all right, you just focus on Doug over there!" The whole time, he just kept turning his head when it was his time to be embarrassed. Then, at the end of the show, Grandpa calls me over and says, "Susie? Is there any chance I could see you private sometime?" That sly old man, he must have had a little blue pill he needed to use! I hope Grandma's not in the picture anymore, 'cause we've got a date, I'm going to the wedding with him! Just kidding, but wouldn't that be funny. I had to book it out of there when the host started bugging me to give him a private dance in the bedroom. Again, I say, my shows aren't that good.

It was a bitch getting back to Austin, we had car trouble, but that wasn't fun at all and so I am going to pretend it never happened.
