I've had a couple of terrific days, making me really love my job right now. Thursday night I got a last-minute call for a fraternity party down in the West Campus area. Since it was last-minute, I was a little worried and hoped they weren't too drunk, but I took the gig. The party was in one of those large, multi-building complexes, and on my first try, I went up into the wrong one, running into another party. Those guys weren't very helpful in my search for the right apartment, though they did offer me beer and asked me to stay. After I finally found the right one, I gathered all the pledges around and started my act.
This was one of the most fun parties I've ever done, and definitely the nicest bunch of guys I've danced for. They were all so cute, too! I ended up staying for two hours instead of one - they kept tipping and buying dances and it was well worth it. They were really respectful, too - not once did any of them try to grope me or do anything inappropriate in the least. It was just the ideal party.
Fridady morning, after being at that party until 1:30 a.m., I had to get up to do a radio spot for Burlesque for Peace at 7:30 a.m. It's amazing that I didn't just fall into bed afterwards, but I'm trying to be good about sticking to the work schedule I set, so into the club it was. A good decision, that: I had several good customers and only had to work until four in the afternoon to make the money I wanted. It was really pleasant only dealing with nice people over the past couple of days; how lucky is that?
