There are some work injuries you are only subject to if you're a stripper. Razor burn and pole bruises are part of the gig. Yesterday, however, my personal list of job hazards was topped by the hand dryer in the ladies' bathroom. Sometimes girls will use the blower to dry out thongs after they've washed them and in doing so, will leave it on so long that the metal nozzle gets very, very hot. I was exiting a stall, with nothing on but my g-string, when I bumped into another girl. My left breast hit the nozzle and I felt a searing pain - I'd just burnt my nipple on the damn thing! I grabbed some ice and held my poor, wounded breast in my hand, but it's still red today. Fortunately, it didn't blister - a development that would make it very difficult for me to wear pasties on Saturday night at the burlesque show.
Other than my terrible injury, work was perfectly pleasant yesterday. I worked during the day, my first time to do so during the week. While the club opens at 11 a.m., there usually aren't any customers until 12 p.m. or so. One guy came in early yesterday, though, and I felt bad that he was sitting all by himself, with no dancers on stage (they won't start the stages without at least two customers in the door), so I went over to say hi, and enjoyed some interesting conversation with him. We did some dances and chatted until he had to leave, and I was happy that the day started off so well. He also asked me if I did private dances, so I gave him a card and I really hope he calls - he's one of those guys that are fun to dance for.
The day was pretty slow - I thought it'd be busier because of the shitty weather. It wasn't bad, though. Becky was there during the day, too. We're going to try to take some pictures together soon, an endeavor I'm looking forward to. I think we should get matching lingerie sets to shoot in - we both look terrific in stockings.
I'm sad that no one's taken me up on my offer to exchange my old g-strings for new ones - you're going to drive me to naughtybids.com, people!
