Found myself at work on Monday, even though I had to be up Tuesday morning at 7. So that means I didn't stay too late, only from 6-10. Four hours is about right, though I wish I could have come in a little earlier. Even though Monday there are $5 dances from 7-11, I found it really easy to sell a lot of $20 two-for-ones last Monday when I came in around 4pm.

It looks like I'll be making a trip to Portland at the end of the summer, and I'll be checking out some clubs up there since that's where I plan to move after I graduate in December. Any suggestions? I know it's very different up there. Lots of stage work and not a lot of dance hustling. Should be interesting. It would be fun to focus on stage work, but I wonder if you can make decent money relying on it.

I'm in the process of putting together Girl-on-Girl Burlesque. The show's scheduled for July 17th, and we're going to have burlesque acts, go-go dancing, and an amateur contest. It will be women only, no men allowed. I've wanted to do something like this for years and I'm really excited to finally be doing it. My co-conspirator is Audrey, who put together the fantastic Burlesque for Peace shows. Anyone in Austin who's interested in performing or attending, let me know.
