Semifinals are at the Dolphin I in Milwaukie this Thursday night.
Finals are at the Dolphin II in Beaverton on Wednesday, May 10th. I sincerely hope to have some familiar faces out there to cheer me on.

Well, there was my trip to Texas over Easter weekend, where I worked a few nights at XTC and was bitten. Yes, bitten, with teeth, by some dipshit customer. He learned over like he was going to kiss me on the cheek, and BIT me. On my face. I grabbed hum by the hair and dragged him to a bouncer for the kicking out, then ran into the dressing room to check for broken skin and to clean with rubbing alcohol. I was so pissed I was ready to tear out of the door, and said as much to the Bud-Bundy-lookalike manager on duty, whose first response was "You know there's a $20 fee to leave early, right?" No shit. Of course I know that, I pay it almost every time I work there, which is why the other managers wouldn't have harped on it if I was BITTEN on their shifts. I wanted to kick his ass as much as the customer's. Jesus.

The other two shifts I worked there were fine and dandy, go figure.

Last week, the night of the contest and Saturday were rocking, good nights in the club, but Monday and Tuesday this week were just horribly slow.

Monday night I was talking to a 23-yr-old guy, and when I told him I’d be 30 in a few months, he said, “Cool. I like older women,” which caused me to choke on my soda laughing. Older women, indeed, I’m practically Mrs. Robinson, right? Heh. He was well-meaning, of course.

I’m in need of a gown for the competition; there’s an “evening wear” component to the finals. Stripper gowns are of course things that look like this or this or this, any of which I would wear in a minute. But I think I’m going to make something. There’s an insanely huge fabric store in Portland that I love and have found inspiration in.
